Turquoise received its name because it was originally brought to Europe from Turkey. It is one of the oldest materials used for jewelry, and is still extremely popular today. It is one of the December birthstones.
All of my jewelry is made with genuine turquoise.

Beautiful turquoise, including sky blue Sleeping Beauty turquoise nuggets in the longer strand and smaller beads in the shorter strand are punctuated by carnelian, lampwork beads, and intricately decorated sterling silver. The sterling silver comes directly to me here from the artisans in Bali. The artist's lampwork beads are transparent with a reddish core and turquoise dots on the outside. A carved carnelian flower pendant hangs from the shorter strand. This turquoise necklace would make a great gift anytime! A sterling toggle clasp is the closure. All sterling silver components.

Large turquoise nuggets are some of our favorites and they are accented by the prettiest lampwork beads by James Derrick Reeves, a master beadmaker. Plenty of sterling silver from Bali and the Thai Karen Hill Tribes garnishes the necklace, including a partial sterling chain that loops asymmetrically around the necklace dangling Hill Tribes charms of flowers and leaves.
