Iolite Jewelry
I love iolite jewelry and iolite gemstones. Iolite is an unusual stone; because of pleochroism, the early Vikings used very thin pieces of iolite as a lens to determine planetary positions and navigation. The name iolite came from the Greek word "ios" which actually means violet. There are 3 colors in iolite, depending on the way that one looks at it (and making it veery difficult for gem-cutters" - blue, violet, and yellow. It is also known as the "water-sapphire" and high-quality iolite is easy to mistake for sapphire.
I'm currently low on Iolite Bracelets at the moment, but I will be glad to make one for you!

Iolite Bracelets
Jolie Madame
Ooooo, la la! Currently, my favorite piece of iolite jewelry, this bracelet with its three strands of iolites of all shapes and sizes, really gets a punch from the single large faceted rose quartz rectangle. This gorgeous pink in the middle of the blue iolite complements both! The sterling silver toggle clasp has bezel set peacock pearls in the ends of the toggle bar. Price: 133.99 |
SOLDChandraneelSOLD
The name of this bracelet means "one who is precious like the moon" . Many wonderful faceted rondelles, rounds, and 5 faceted large nuggets of iolite make this bracelet pretty special, too. Add to that large 14 karat gold-filled beads (and some tiny ones, too), a gold curved lobster clasp and you have a bracelet worthy of anyone precious to you! A little gold flower charm hangs beside the clasp. Price: 163.99 |
Two for the Road
I know that iolites are terrific when mixed with garnets, so I thought, what about rubies? Well, it's a win! Two large faceted rubies tango with iolites in this two-strand bracelet with sterling silver. There are also little faceted ruby rondelles. Faceted iolite rondelles and nuggets are accented with sterling silver, including tiny Thai Karen Hill Tribes beads and two sterling charms. One charm is a sterling trumpet flower while the other is a large intricately decorated sterling harmony ball. The toggle clasp is one of my favorites with bezel set iolites set on either side of the toggle. Price: 133.99 |
SOLDThe Weight of WaterSOLD
Four strands of iolites and sterling silver from the Thai Karen Hill Tribes are fantastic together. Little charms of hearts and crowns and dangles hang from the strands. The iolites include faceted ovals, faceted nuggets, and smooth rounds. A sterling silver toggle clasp is the closure. Price: 153.99 |
Wide Sargasso Sea
Five strands of iolites are enriched with a sprinkling of garnets. And garnets and iolites sing together in perfect harmony. The iolites take many different forms: smooth and faceted ovals, smooth and faceted rondelles, faceted nuggets, smooth rounds. Sterling silver accents are kept to a minimum to let the beauty of the iolites show through. The very special toggle clasp features bezel set faceted iolites on both sides of the toggle ring (in sterling silver, of course). From work to the coffeehouse to cocktails, you'll find yourself wearing this iolite bracelet constantly! Personal favorite. Price: 181.99 |

Evening in Jaipur
Iolite jewelry from the Raj Collection includes this iolite bracelet that also features emerald nuggets and small ruby rondelles - all genuine stones. Iolite is a fitting gemstone to go with emeralds and rubies since it is often called the "water-sapphire", and really, much of the iolite I've seen resembles more what I think of when I envision deep blue sapphires than the actual sapphire gemstones! Like many of the pieces of jewelry from the Raj Collection, this has vermeil accents and a vermeil toggle clasp closure. The bracelet has charms hanging at intervals from the 14 karat gold filled chain - gemstone charms. Price: 102.99 |
