Chalcedony Bracelets
Chalcedony is a sub-species of quartz - a beautiful stone which comes in different colours, but for jewelry blue is probably the most commonly used. Blue chalcedony looks especially pretty with sterling silver or white gold. I love to use chalcedony because it so often has such a lovely "glow" no matter what the color. Below are bracelets, necklaces, and earrings in yellow, brown, red, pink, lilac, and several colours in between.
We have a pink chalcedony bracelet and a blue chalcedony bracelet on our Gold Bangle Bracelets page.
*Chalcedony jewelry has an interesting history; at one time, ancient seafarers used it to safeguard against drowning. The ancient orator Cicero was known to wear a piece of chalcedony around his neck since it was known as "the speaker's stone" and thought to be able to give one the gift of persuasive speech. *Perhaps chalcedony is best known as a "peace" gemstone. Gemstone lore has it that the presence of chalcedony will dissipate negative thoughts, help one to refrain from speaking harshly and intemperately, and provide a calming influence on the surroundings. It is also thought to encourage goodwill among people as well as generosity of spirit.

Big black faceted nuggets of chalcedony make this black bracelet anything but your basic black! Artist's lampwork beads add just a touch a white; filigree sterling silver lends a whimisical touch to the bracelet. The second strand, a sterling silver textured cable chain, dangles tiny flowers of sterling from the Thai Karen Hill Tribes. Wonderful toggle clasp is a large circle with circular designs. Love in Rio
Or should I have called it "Carnivale in Rio"? This colorful bracelet is made entirely of chalcedony in different colors, sizes and shapes. It is one of the "happiest" bracelets that I've seen! A mix of faceted and smooth gemstones gives the bracelet texture and just a touch of sterling silver adds gleam. The sterling silver toggle clasp has a cabochon gemstone bezel-set beside its triangular-shaped toggle. Pink, aqua, light green, deep yellow and deep red chalcedony all sing together in this incredible bracelet. All charms are sterling silver. 71.99

Floating Downstream
I love bracelets that feature a lot of chain and this one is not an exception. Just two large pieces of chalcedony, a faceted flat slab and a large rice-shape, make up this bracelet with its double-linked gold-filled chain, fluted gold-filled accents, and gold-filled wire waving over the surface of the large nugget. All 14 karat gold-fill with the exception of the toggle clasp which is vermeil. The translucence of the large nugget is beautiful! 91.99

Isabella's Light
This three-strand bracelet is full of luminous color in aqua and dark golden yellow to greenish-yellow. Minimal sterling silver is used around the chalcedony so that the beauty of the gemstones takes the forefront. The sterling silver toggle clasp is hefty enough to hold the three strands of stones. This bracelet makes a definite statement on the wrist! 188.99

In the Bush
Smooth chalcedony nuggets have a high polish. They are accented by artist's lampwork beads from a master lampworker (lampwork has a giraffe-like look to me). Three little beaded star charms hang from one side of the bracelet. A sterling toggle clasp is made of two wonderful ropey rings within one another. From the African Rhythms Collection. 188.99

Turchese Bellezza
Once again, the chalcedony takes center stage in this bracelet! The beautiful turquoise rectangles are excellently faceted to sparkle; 14 karat gold-fill was all that was necessary for this sophisticated chalcedony bracelet. Pretty 14 karat gf flower charm hangs close to the middle of the bracelet; a smooth gold-filled toggle clasp is the closure. Personal favorite! 108.99

Swazi
This wonderful chalcedony reminds me a lot of excellent quality aquamarines though perhaps it is just a trifle bluer. Faceted ovals are accented by some of my favorite sterling silver beads that I have shipped to me from Bali (including the toggle clasp). A chalcedony charm hangs from one side of the bracelet. Just a simple, stunning bracelet with quality gemstones. 108.99

Glow
These deep yellow chalcedony beads do glow beautifully. To keep the very "gemmy" look of the chalcedony, a minimum of silver was used - only the tiniest sterling ring beads between each nugget and rondelle. A sterling silver toggle clasp is the closure. You'll love the gemstones in this bracelet! 59.99
